Major additions to, renovation and landscaping of an existing late 60’s home.
This project involved the redesign, reconfiguration, and additions to a home on Kananaskis Drive SW to add functionality to the space and to improve connections to the exceptional outdoor spaces. Our clients had long lived in this home located on a large lot typical of this neighborhood but wanted to address a number of shortcomings they felt existed. The design concentrated on providing additional family space and general updating while carefully improving spatial and visual connections to the beautiful outdoor spaces and the greater site. The street-facing garage was replaced with a family room now connected to the home and transparently connected to a new patio space. An under-used pool was removed and a rear-alley garage and significant landscaping were added. Inside, the main floor was heavily renovated to fit the family’s needs and continue this effort to connect to the outside.
