CAM woolnough AT
CAM joined placeworks in March of 2013, long after graduating from SAIT in Calgary as an Architectural Technologist. His Career as an A.T. started in Canmore where he spent seven years creating, customizing and conjuring home plans for local and not-so-local residents alike. Cam returned to Calgary with his small family and took up Project Management in Commercial Office-Wall Partitioning but after three years, he missed the creativity of custom homes and returned to designing custom residences with a builder for four more years.
Cam’s experience in custom designed homes, construction and local building practices allow him to picture details from the smallest joint to the largest truss. Being able to see the ‘guts’ of a project long before a tape measure or a saw are on site allows him to build from the inside out in his mind, to ensure that the parts of the project you don’t see are as perfect as those you do.
In addition to being part of the Placeworks team, Cam chases his other passion in the winter months - coaching Ski Racing. He has been part of a Banff area racing club for thirteen years and now works with young athletes and coaches, passing on his knowledge and love for the sport.
When he's not at the office or on the sidelines of a cold ski race course, you will find Cam in Calgary’s ‘other’ season at a campsite with his family, or chest deep in a local river chasing trout with his fly rod.
